Popcorn with nothing on it has about the same caloric density of air. It's also extremely fiber dense.

If you drink water with it, popcorn is extremely filling.

It's so filling and bereft of calories that anorexic individuals will "binge" on it to keep their hunger at bay while still maintaining a caloric deficit.
